Kidney Stones, AGAIN!!

I don't think that Thanksgiving are meant to be my holiday. Three years I ago I was way bloated and stressed out from being pregnant with Emily. I was technically put on bed rest, but didn't obey. Then last year I was pregnant with Mordecai and had 2 kidney stones that were causing me pain, which in return put me in the hospital more times than I care to count and one of the times was Thanksgiving night. Well this year I got to have Thanksgiving, but the day afterwards which was Mike's birthday, I ended up going the the Emergency room for pain. I found out that I have/had 3 kidney stones and a cyst on my right ovary. So Friday afternoon, I had another Ureteroscopy that I totally hate cause they are painful as all get out. They used that procedure to remove the 2 4mm stones and now I have to wait and have a lithotripsy procedure to remove the 7 mm stone. What a horrible birthday for Mike. I do have to say that I have two fabulous friends that have been by to see me, and brought me flowers and sang Happy Birthday to Mike while giving him a cake, THANKS GUYS!!! Well I am starting to get queasy again so I better end.

Christmas and Santa

Since the Holidays are upon us I thought I should tell everyone the story that Emily has in her head. So Mike and I thought that we were going to buy her a play kitchen set for Christmas, since she loves the one in nursery. Well lately when we go to Target she always asks to ride the bicycles. We let her the first time cause we thought she would get mad and give up because she couldn't do it, we know this since we thought about buying one for her birthday last year but opted for her slide since she couldn't figure out the pedals, well guess what we were wrong. This one particular day we were at Target with grandma and she cried cause it was time to go. So my mom had the the great idea of telling her she needs to write Santa so he knows what she wants. So now at least once a day we hear about how Santa is going to bring her bike. On Sunday Mike asked her if she wanted Santa to bring her a kitchen set, with enthusiasm in his voice, or a bike. She replied a BIKE!!!! Mike probably asked 3 or 4 times and each time was a bike. So I butted in and asked what she would do if Santa didn't bring her a bike and she told me, "I would cry like this, wwwaaa, and be sad, but that would be okay cause than grandpa Bainbridge would bring it for her. We all had a good laugh.

Also last week we were in the kitchen and it got quiet all of a sudden, then I heard water running. I decided to go and look for Emily and I found her getting a drink. I think I am in for trouble when Mordecai becomes mobile.

I haven't written in a while, and I think it is because I have been out of things to write. I would like to be like Cherst who can write about her day, but that is to hard, and to be honest my days have been pretty boring lately. I have been driving around my moms mini van since she has been in Utah, and I have to say that I could be okay owning one now. Anyway, mom is back now, we picked her up from DIA last night. This morning she and I took the kids to JoAnns to buy some fabric for the chairs that I am making for the kids for Christmas, and also some fleece for baby gifts while Mike finished the shelf above our entry door. There wasn't a great angle to get a picture so this is what you get. The to brown spots aren't white cause they are real wood. They will be painted though when we paint the whole thing white, unless we think we like the two tone look. Let us know what you think.

Later we took the kids to JCPenny's to finish acquiring the parts for the window treatments in the living room. We are still waiting for a shipment to come in. We need the elbow piece for the front rod for the bay window, and we need both rods for the single window. I think I am going to see if I can order them on-line so I wont keep being disappointed when they don't get them in.

*New topic* I bought some games to play with Emily, "Don't Spill the Beans", and "Don't Break the Ice." She loves playing them, and now that mom has been with us she has learned to say "big thumbs up." Well this afternoon we were trying to get her to actually do the thumbs up and she couldn't so she has been practicing. At first we would get the pointer finger and then she would have to concentrate on closing the pointer finger and stick up the thumb. It is kind of funny to watch so I need to takw a video.

I weighed in yesterday and lost a total of 5 pounds within the last 2 weeks. GO ME!!! I have now lost a total of 13.8 pounds. I fit my size 8 pants, and am loving being in them again, but sometimes I like to wear my 10's so I feel skinnier cause I have to pull them up. I know, pathetic. I don't think I can be any smaller than an 8 because my hips have gotten wider after 2 kids, and I started with wide hips. I hope to not have any pregnancies until I am at my pre-Emily weight which is about 10 more pounds. WOW, that looks like a lot when I read it, but I have to remind myself it has taken only a month and a half to lose what I have already lost.

RRRRRR!! Mordecai is awake. I am having trouble with getting him to stay asleep once we put him down, there is no reason he should be waking up. I decided he needs to cry it out so he will learn. He has been crying for about 11 min. and even though I did this with one kid already, Emily, it still tugs at my heart, so I had to turn the monitor down and only glance at it to see if the lights have stopped :( They haven't. If there is any advice from expert parents, please fill me in.

Love My Hair

Today wasn't very eventful like we were hoping it to be. We started the morning off by going to Hope Depot, or as Mike and all other males know it, "The Man Store", to get some casing for the interior of our new front door. Mike has plans to put a decorative shelf above it. We got the material we needed, plus the board I need for flannel boards. By the time we got out of there we were way bummed by all the things we would like to buy right now to fix up our house, but can't. There are a TON of good deals this weekend. Anyway, after Home Depot was the ZOO, Costco, to get milk and eggs. By this time it was already 1:00. We came home had lunch and Mike went to work on the door. The kids and I went to the new Ace Hardware that is by our house to buy a doorbell. We didn't have luck in the doorbell department, but did in the Christmas area. We found some cool window clings that I am excited to use. Anyways, Mike didn't get to finish the door because he had Stake meetings tonight, which is where he is now, so I took the kids to JCPennys to buy curtain rods for the living room so we can hang the curtains that we bought a year and a half ago. We are hanging them in hopes to help keep that room a little more energy efficient since we haven't replaced those windows yet.

I had my hair done yesterday, and I am in love with it, the color and cut!! Mike said the A-line will take a little getting used to, but he likes the color too. The only funny story we have today, well at least that I can remember is this.

Mike-- "Are you stinky Mordecai?"

Emily--"It might be me Dad."

and sure enough it was her. I'm sure there was more funny things that happened or got said but I am tired and I can't remember.

Emily's Prayers

So lately Emily has been wanting to say our dinner prayers without help. She has done them in our rotation previously with help, but this is all new with the independence thing. So Thursday night she said.

"Heavenly Father, thankful for this day, bless us to have a good dinner, and I am thankful for my Elmo game, and bless me to be good so I can play it tonight. Amen."

Last nights prayer was this...

"Heavenly Father, thankful for this day, help this food to be good, I am thankful for Mom, Dad, and Mordecai, and I am thankful for my videos. Amen."

I am grateful for the simple things in life that we forget to be thankful for, and I am thankful for Emily, and all the things she does to remind us of them.

Random pics, & regular post

So I figured that I should write something to the general people that read this. I have to quickly say that I have known all along who anonymous is and that I find it funny that they were offended and removed our name from their blog list, and that they don't want pepole putting anti-Obama stuff on their page, but they find it perfectly okay to write it or complain about it on mine. I wasn't upset, and still aren't and in no way think differently of the relationship we have. So I hope they don't either.

Anyways, as I said before I watched a friends 2 kids this week and I decided that this is what my life would be like if I was like Valerie and had them every year, more power to you Val, cause Allison is 3, Emily is 2, Carter is 1, and Mordecai will be 8 months. The kids were awesome! It is so nice to have a buddy for Emily to play with.

I went grocery shopping today, and the whole time I was out my kids complained. Mordecai protested and only took one nap, his morning, and he and Emily both have colds so they both were in bed and asleep by 6:45. Now Mike and I have no idea what to do with the free time.

I laminated my flannel board figures, well at least some of them, that Cherstin clued me in on and I love them so far. Thanks Cherstin!!! I also made Emily's and Mordecai's no sew fleece blankets and they are both loving them. They are so nice that they don't soak up fluid,but not so much when Mordecai drools on them and I stick my hand in it going to pick it up. Anyway, I am tired and I think I am catching my kids cold. Ugh!!!

To those of you that don't agree with my previous posts I am sorry, BUT, this is my opinion and that only, so you don't have to read it or like it. Jenna as for you I love you babe, but please don't take offense. I am sure there are tons of views that you and I don't agree on and that's okay all that matters is that we understand that. As for the anonymous person there is good to every candidate, but I think Obama was off of what I myself felt/feel. The fact of the matter is even though Obama said he wanted and everyone wants less abortion he still is for having them, and I am not for the late term abortion or even for his plan of letting babies born of botched abortions die in a room with no meds. I have and did listen to both sides, and even though I didn't agree with McCain on all the things he stood for I voted for him because I disagreed with Obama less. So if you voted Obama good for you, but I think you and the rest of the people who voted the "DEM" way will be upset with your/their decision in the future just like they were when they voted for Bill Clinton, or maybe you wont because whenever anything goes wrong democrats always seem to find a way to blame it on republican administrations. I do agree though that we need change but I don't think Obama is the right man to do that, it is just sad to see that are country is dividing like it is. I will say however that I "believe in honoring, obeying and sustaining the law", and I will, it doesn't however mean I have to like it. In the end I should add again this is my blog and a way for me to be able to post what I feel.

VOTING

This morning came early. Mike and I went to bed and it seemed like we were only asleep for a couple of minutes when the alarm went off. We got up and dressed so we could go vote. We tried early voting on Friday and the lines were WAY to long. It was so easy we walked in, voted, and we were right out. A good thing too cause we had the kids with us. I can't understand why anyone would vote Democrat. How could they vote for anyone that supports abortion and doesn't salute our flag or even believe in our Country and what it was founded on and stands for. Even if you feel you have to vote democratic because you want Bush out of office, who did a wonderful job by the way, or because you feel poor and think that OBAMA would or can even change that. AND for those of you who oppose the war let me say this. Just because the general public doesn't know anything about WMD's doesn't mean there isn't any stuff under wraps, think about it, and if you say you support our troops but still want us out of Iraq, than you really don't because supporting them means supporting their decision, and they signed up knowing what could or was happening and that meant they believed it. Now to the economic problems. It wasn't Bush who made it happen. It was all the greedy, and I mean greedy bankers, that wanted more and more money. So don't place blame where it doesn't belong, or without taking a good hard look at yourself. Anyway that was my rant. I need to wrap up because my friend Wendy will be dropping of her kids in a little and I need to do some stuff. You will probably hear from me tonight,after Mike's soccer game.

Halloween & Sunday Pics.

Today was such a crazy day. This morning while I was getting dressed JoanE called and asked if I would put together an impromptu flyer for our December enrichment night, of course I said yes so I was frazzled getting that done plus the kids dressed and on time to Church to meet Mike. Not to mention that we were all tired because crazy Mordecai hasn't been sleeping so well, and I guess it doesn't help that Mike and I stayed up late watching the Incredible Hulk and highlighting his hair. So, anyway while I was getting the flyer ready I was in the basement with Emily and she was playing with our Christmas pictures we will be sending out, and I told her to leave them alone, well tonight we were in the basement before dinner and she was playing with them again and I said, "Emily what did I tell you about playing with these... did you not hear the words that came out of my mouth this morning?" well she responded with "NO! I did not hear the words that came out of your mouth this morning, now leave me alone okay." She is getting real sassy, but most of the time it is really funny.

I have some updating to do. Mike took Friday off so we did some stuff around the house. Mike painted the coat closet, and kilzed the trim around the front door, so now I need to take a picture of it, but that will have to wait until daylight. For Halloween we took Emily trick-or-treating in our old neighborhood first, so we could see some old friends from our old ward. She loved it so much that she asked us to take her back to our "new neighborhood" so she could do some more. Mike and I watched a movie that night. Saturday I mowed the yard and blew the leaves, thanks to daddy for leaving us the riding lawn mower, and blower. That afternoon Mike went and did his Elder Quorum duties of helping someone move, that seems the deal every weekend, and I took the kids shopping at Kohl's for new church clothes for me since I needed updated clothes in the size that I am due to exercising. Bedtime is getting close so I need to wrap this up. Enjoy the pictures
