Saturday night the kids and I took Mike out for Father's Day dinner. We went to BJ's brew house since we hadn't been there in a while. The food was yummy and the kids did really well. We order their pizookie trio but messed up and gave us a wrong cookie so they fixed it and we ended up with 4 pizookies.
Sunday morning, Father's Day, I got up and made Mike French toast, fresh berries and a banana berry smoothie. After breakfast Mike opened his gift which the kids helped wrap and decorate. Once at church I told Mike I was feeling a little queasy but figured it might have been breakfast because I am not so used to eating such sugary foods. He asked if I was getting what Ruby had Wednesday night and I told him I didn't think so because nobody else had come down with it. Later, during the actual Sacrament, Mordecai asked to go to the bathroom. I told him he had to wait, but that he could go after the sacrament was over. Immediately after the sacrament was over he was out the door. After coming back he asked to go again and I just as I was about to say that he had just gone he threw up on the floor and on Emily's shoe. I quickly grabbed his arm and passed him to Mike. I was nursing Ivy so I couldn't pull her off without her screaming so Jason tried to clean up the floor and wiped up Emily and her shoe. Once Ivy was done I headed out to the hall to check on Mordecai and I Mike. Mike was cleaning up more throw up in the hall and Mordecai was in a stall in the men's bathroom. He was so embarrassed. I took him and Ivy home and about a half an hour later I got a text from Mike saying that Emily wasn't feeling good either and that they were coming home. I came down with it later that evening and we were all sick until the next morning. Apparently I did have what Ruby had and the older kids too. Poor Mike! Every Holiday/Special Occasion we have in our house something happens to make it a memorable one.
