Valentines Weekend

Since Mom and Cherstin are in town Mike and I asked if we could get them to watch our kids, even though they were already in bed, so we could go out. Well around 8:00 last night we decided that we were going to go out but couldn't decide where. We talked about a movie but there wasn't anything that was worth paying for, and it was way to cold to go out for ice cream, so I made a comment about going and looking for furniture for our living room. For those of you who don't know the green chairs we had in our front room were moved into our room for 2 reasons. First reason we moved them because I am buying new bedding for our room that has the green of our chairs in it, and the second reason is because we need more sitting room in there for when home/visiting teachers come over. We were successful in finding some that aren't to big and that we both like, but we need to narrow them down a little more. It was definitely nice to actually look without kids whining at us.

This morning for Valentines day we all went to IHOP for breakfast. We usually don't go out Valentines weekend but I was craving the country omelet they have so Mike being a great husband indulged me. Later today I went with Mom to JoAnns to buy fabric to finish the little kids chairs I am in the middle of making, but I am a little irritated since they got rid of the corduroy I purchased in November, so now I don't know what I am going to do. Emily will probably have to wait for hers. So sad. While I was there I made sure to grab some samples of decorator fabrics so I can make some curtains for the family room and breakfast nook. I plan to go back on Monday for their Presidents Day sale.

I am tired and so excited that Church will only be one hour tomorrow. Our building has some issues with tree roots in the sewers, so we are meeting at the Stake Center for sacrament meeting only. That also means that Mike doesn't have any meetings, so he can help me get the kids ready for church...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
