Halloween Party

So I have 2 funny stories that I need to share first. Earlier this week Emily and Hannah were playing underneath her play picnic table together and they got stuck. I called Lexy over to see it, and as we were headed over there we heard Emily say, "hey move your big head so we can get out of here." Also that same day I looked at Emily and said, "hey get over here and give me a kiss." She paused and then said, "Okay, but don't smell me, cause I just did a log."

WOW!!! We sure had a houseful tonight. We had 4 families over tonight for hamburgers, since it is unusually warm, and mine and Mikes tradition of carving pumpkins. So all together we had a total of 20 people here for an evening. Backing up a little, Emily and I made some stuffed pumpkins that we saw in our "Family Fun" magazine, thanks Hannah & Phil, filled with chocolate and peanut butter chips in one set, and heath toffee bits and coconut in the other. Kristal made the cutest goblin cheese ball and we all carved our pumpkins... well at least the adults did. Mike is taking tomorrow off, and I am so excited. I am tired and need to go clean our house. Happy Halloween!

Target Trip. HE HE

She was playing in the bookshelves Grandma brought over

I know I already wrote today, but I just have to share what happened at Target, you know me where else would I shop? So I went there to buy ink for my printer and ended up buying a new one with a copy machine, YAY me!!! Anyways, we were walking around and Emily found this little wagon that she could push down the aisle and then lay on top off so it would carry her down it. Well she was getting tired of trying to keep up so she stopped and said, "hey mom! Stop my fingers are freaking out." I asked where she learned that word and she said, "you and dad say it all the time." We continue to giggle with her all day long cause she is so funny.

Aarggh!!! Mordecai just woke up. I can't figure out if it is just habit now, or if he is having issues. It is so frustrating to me though.

Missing Him

So I feel like I have hardly seen my husband the last week. He has been real busy at work so he hasn't been coming home until 12:00 at night. Yesterday was his presentation for CDR (critical design review) so there won't be anymore late night. He did come home early from work yesterday but I only saw him for a brief 2 minutes while we traded cars so I could make it to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. I was privileged to go and be with a friend who was attending for the first time and doing work for her mom and 2 great grandmas. We were also joined by another friend so we had a blast. We took pictures, but I need them to be e-mailed to me cause they weren't taken with my camera. For some reason when I need my camera I always forget, hence the reason I don't have any of our trunk or treat photos posted yet. Both the kids are asleep, which is why I get to do this, but I should be cleaning.

So handsome!!!

Random

I am posting some fun pics of the kids. Mordecai totally cracks us up when he drinks from his sippy cup, and Emily can't stand it when we take pictures of him and not her, so enjoy.
Last night was fun at the Trunk or Treat. I totally won first prize for my cinnamon rolls. I added cream cheese frosting instead of the traditional, so I think that was the magic trick. Anyway Mordecai was a pumpkin and Emily was a cow. They were both so cute. Emily would shake her bum and say "look at the junk in my trunk", because there is stuffing in the rear and stomach. I need to get the pictures from Kristal and Lexy since we forgot our camera. Yesterday Mike also had some help installing our front entry door. Kristal, Matt and Lanae, and Seth, Lexy and Hannah were here for breakfast, and lunch while they guys installed the door. It looks awesome, now all I need to do is take a picture and post it, but I can't do that until it is light outside.
On Friday I weighed in and lost another 2.2 pounds, so that makes a total weight loss of 7.4 pounds for the first month. Only another 10 to go before we can decide to have another baby. I am thinking that I want to be smaller so I don't keep adding on the pounds. Hopefully I will meet my goal by January.

Updates!!

Things have been so crazy busy here that I haven't written in a while. We got a new entry door like 3 weeks ago and I absolutly love it, however it is just sitting in our garage waiting to be installed. So I took a picture of it so that everyone can see what it looks like. We also had 13 windows in our home replaced so now we just have the remaining 11 to do. Also 2 weekends ago Mike helped my parents move, and we are going to help with the remainder this weekend. Last weekend we took family pictures. If Mike doesn't have to work this weekend then maybe we will get our entry door done.
On Tuesday Mike and I swapped kid watching with some friends in our ward so we could do sealings at the Temple. We watched their daughter so they could do inititories and then they watched our 2 so we could do sealings. It was so great to be at the Temple again. Afterwards we went to Chili's and then home.
Mike has CDR on Tuesday so he has been at work a lot. He didn't get to leave work until 12:30 last night, and who knows what this weekend will be.
I just had the scariest thing happen. Emily was outside with Mike and Uncle Bob looking at the DVD player in the car. Mike left and I had this thought that I needed to go check on her. Well she wasn't in the house, and I asked Bob if she was in the garage and he said that he didn't know where she was. I just happened to look out the back window and saw her half way up the greenbelt walking with her baby. She decided that she wasn't going to wait until Mordecai woke up from his nap, so she was going to go by herself. Looks like we need to have a FHE on safety.

Date Night. Yay!!!

We are at moms today watching conference. This last week has been really great. I lost 4.8 pounds, and have enjoyed the exercising I have been doing. I have been trying to get on top of my house cleaning, but as a mom that never feels like it is possible.
As you can see Mr. Mordecai has finally learned to sit up, we still don't dare leave him yet, it's about time.
Mike and I finally had a real date last night...well sort of. We took the kids out for dinner at Red Robin and then to the mall to get Emily some new shirts for the fall/winter. While we were there I did a survey on perfume and scored $6. Then we came home and put Mordecai to bed. Mom came over to watch Emily, and Mike and I went to the 8:00 showing of "Eagle Eye". We thought it was pretty good.
This morning Emily was in a pretty good mood so she read Mordecai some books. It is pretty funny to hear her re-tell the story in her own words, she always says "The End" at the end of the story, and it is also funny to hear her say "I don't need that violet, she said".
This past week Mike baptized a new member in our ward and Emily enjoyed watching it. She went home talking about how "when I grow up daddy is going to baptize me, and then Mordecai too!"
Well that is about it for now.
