Friday morning we got up early so that we could be at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house at 9:00. Before we even left to Utah we told Emily that she was going to be able to go inside the temple, and she kept asking if she could marry Mike in the Temple, or if she was going to get baptized and wear garments. I just love her. Felicia met up with us along with Mike's parents. It was special to be in the Temple with Emily even though it hasn't been dedicated yet. One funny story was that Momma took Emily to the bathroom when we were by the baptistery and when they came out to find us Emily said she was ready to get baptized. Momma had to explain that you don't get baptized for yourself in the Temple, and then they started to move along. Well what Momma didn't know was that Emily had slipped out of her shoes in preparation to be baptized and the Temple Usher had to bring them to her.

After the open house Mom and Dad had to be at the airport to pick up Melody and Brandon at 1:00 so the girls, Felicia, Emily, and I headed out to get pedicures and then pick up some meat for the BBQ we had later that night with my side of the family.

About 2:00 we headed down to Temple Square, or the "Square" as Emily calls it, to show the kids where we were married, to see the Christus, a tour of where Mom and Dad serve their mission and hopefully do a tour of the Conference Center. Every time we have tried to do a tour there has been something going on, such as a Donny Osmond concert. We got there and took some pictures and made sure we even took pictures of Mike and I kissing where we did the day we got married, and then we added the kids kissing with us. We also hit the Lion House for their famous rolls, and shaved ice. After that we took a picture of Emily by the pond where Mike almost dropped me in, and then over to the Christus. People where very impresses with our kids skills of knowing who people were in pictures, i.e. Jesus, Nephi, Lehi, God, etc. From their we headed over and did a tour of the Conference center. That building is amazing, especially the roof.

After the "Square" we headed back to Mom and Dad's to pick up our meat and head over to Brittany's for a BBQ and firework show. When we were little and would go to Utah for the summer we would always do fireworks at Granite High School. Well the school is no longer in use and this year might be the last year of fireworks, so the show was AWESOME!!!. It was nice to be at Britt's house since when we were driving in the school was packed. It was really good to see my side of the family. Oh, and I can't forget to write that my kids are terrified of fireworks, well actually the noise.

I love the picture of you and Mike kissing in front of the SL Temple. Makes me want to go back to Denver and get one of me and Phil.
Way cute pictures. Thanks for sharing!
